UAE plays a key role in Britannia’s centennial celebrations 2/12/2018

Britannia Industries, Indian’s second largest biscuit maker by volume, recently celebrated its centenary. This was also a great occasion to applaud in Dubai, where BME has made Britannia the second largest biscuit brand sold in the UAE.

Britannia’s Managing Director, Varun Berry and its Vice President and Head of International Business, Anindya Dutta, were present at the event where all the distributor teams across the GCC were invited to celebrate the event and shared its future plans and strategy.

The BME team was feted with a memento for its contribution to the brand’s success in the UAE, with a commitment by one and all to strive for the No.1 spot.

Expanded operations in Dubai South 2/12/2018

Dubai South is gearing up for 2020 and beyond and in parallel, BME is also expanding its FMCG and HORECA operations at the Group’s state of the art logistics facilities there.

There’s a lot happening in Dubai South, where the future World Expo 2020 site will be located. The Business Park is seeing an annual growth of 35% in the number of new companies relocating and its first major hotel will open its doors in a few months.

BME has moved its distribution to the site, expanding its operations within the Mohebi Logistics facilities to store and distribute all non-perishable products and tobacco products to all seven Emirates.
